My Thoughts on 'Maharaja'

Hello everyone! Meeting y'all after a long time. I'll try to be more consistent hereafter. Today, I am here to share about the movie I happened to watch recently, titled 'Maharaja'. First and foremost, the movie satisfied me to a large extent. I'm happy for VJS who has made a strong comeback after nearly 5 years, as none of his movies were up to the mark after '96' (2018). 

Secondly, I had the satisfaction of having been emotionally involved in a movie after a long time. As the climax approached, I remember glaring at the screen angrily, waiting for the hero to smash the villain. Also, I really loved the way actor Anurag Kashyap was utilised, since Tamil cinema has been known for bringing in actors from other industries and terribly wasting them for quite some time.

But my pleasant surprise was actor Singampuli, who I remember to be only a mediocre comedian. But here, he did an amazing job and kudos to the director to have pulled off such a character with an actor who had been rendered as a usual comedian. And I highly enjoyed the non-linear narration of the film, which worked out really well for a film which would have otherwise been a usual action drama.

My end suggestion is, people, if you still haven't watched the film, please go watch it. You'd really get an unforgettable experience.

My Gap Year

 Hello people! Welcome to my blog. This is my first post and my hearty thanks to all you people for supporting it by visiting it. I am a first year under-graduate student of the course B.A. English Language and Literature. Today, I would like to share with you my journey towards choosing this course and how I have perceived it so far. To start with, I heard about this course for the very first time when I was in my eighth grade. It was suggested by my father at a time when I was on a spree of writing stories. Thise were neither short stories nor essays or poetry. Those fit in a category which is yet to be founded. My Best Friend

  Hey people! What makes a good friend? Well, a friend who is supportive most of the time. A friend who keeps you happy most of the time. A friend who is there whenever you are in need. A friend, who consoles you when you are sad and a lot of other things make a good friend. But, what makes a best friend? If we talk about best friend, he/she is the one who doesn't tick any of the boxes for the questions above. I don't know if he is supportive, but stays with you all the time. A best friend is that person who annoys you most of the time. More like, a 'ஜோடி கிளி' (pair of parrots). That friend is the one who, I don't know if he consoles, but gets you irritated so much so that you forget your original depression.
